Grand Jury

LISBON — Corey Jones, 32, Shaker Heights, is charged with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Jones is accused of having a loaded firearm in a vehicle on Feb. 9, 2022. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in March.

Petra Montgomery, 24, North Sumner Street, East Palestine, was served a secret indictment charging her with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor possession of drugs charge. On Oct. 27, Montgomery allegedly had both methamphetamines and lorazepam. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in May.

Rebecca L. Sisco, 34, Main Street, Kensington, was served a secret indictment charging her with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly having methamphetamines on Oct. 9. The indictment was issued in May.

Bobbi Jo Wilson, 22, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, is charged with illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, a third-degree felony, and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Wilson was charged after she had methamphetamines in a restricted location on March 29, 2021. The secret indictment was issued in May.

Shawn D. Tremain, 30, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, is charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; along with a forfeiture specification for allegedly having $717 in drug-related proceeds and drugs on Nov. 1, 2019.

Court News

LISBON — James E. Brown, 62, East Clark Street, East Palestine, was sentenced in Common Pleas Court to three years in prison for importuning, a third-degree felony, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He was credited with five days served in jail. Further, Brown will be required to register as a Tier I sex offender, with a requirement to register his address once a year for 15 years following his release. Between April 10, and April 11, 2019, Brown solicited a law enforcement officer he believed to be 12 years old for sexual activity and sent that person obscene materials.

Ted J. Ingledue, 31, Teegarden Road, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, for having methamphetamines on Jan. 29, 2021. He was sentenced immediately to two years in prison with a fine of $5,000, while credited with 13 days already served. The sentence is concurrent with any sentence Ingledue may receive in another pending case, in which he is charged with aggravated possession of drugs and possession of fentanyl-related compound, each a fifth-degree felony.

Richard R. Vecchio, 60, state Route 164, Lisbon, was placed on three years community control for assault and resisting arrest, including spending up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center in Wintersville. Vecchio previously pleaded guilty to assault and resisting arrest for harming Deputy Kevin Shulas and interfering with his own arrest by the deputy on May 1, 2021.

Courtney M. Orr, 31, state Route 45, Leetonia, was sentenced to nine months in prison with credit for 67 days already served for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Orr was charged after having methamphetamines on Oct. 6, 2020.

Michael Allen Noble, 57, Liberty Street, Salem, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Noble was placed on three years community control and ordered to serve a 30-day term at the county jail. Noble had been charged after a household incident involving harm or threat of harm to Lori Ann Barber on July 12, 2021. A resisting arrest charge is dismissed.

Cameron J. Trunick, 23, East Martin Street, East Palestine, stipulated to violating the terms of his intervention treatment plan he was placed on for prior charges of complicity to breaking and entering and receiving stolen property. He has now been placed on community control.

Gregory J. Stephens, 40, Wintersville, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction and placed on a two-year treatment plan after pleading guilty to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony. Stephens had heroin, which he had tried to hide from authorities on Sept. 22, 2014.

Daniel W. Board, stipulated to violating the terms of his intervention treatment plan for charges of receiving stolen property and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, all fifth-degree felonies. His intervention treatment plan will continue until June 24, 2023.

Thomas E. Pease, stipulated to violating the terms of his intervention treatment plan he had been placed on after pleading guilty to permitting drug abuse, as part of the Operation Big Oak case.

Municipal

LISBON – In county Municipal Court, Johnathon M. Weaver, 34, Bye Road, East Palestine, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of failure to comply, resisting arrest, driving under FRA suspension and obstructing official business. A June 9 pretrial was set for Weaver for citations for failure to control and a seat belt violation. Weaver allegedly had attempted to elude police first in a vehicle in the area of state Route 558, Leetonia, and then on foot, refusing to show his hands and causing deputies to taser him on March 12.

Keyatta Jarai Riley, 36, Youngstown, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of promoting prostitution – transporting across state lines for sex for hire, possession of criminal tools and soliciting. Riley allegedly made arrangements to bring another woman to have sex with an undercover officer with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in exchange for money on May 14.

Melinda R. Peterson, 30, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was sentenced to 33 days in jail, fined $1,275, had her license suspended for three years for OVI third offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.

Justin Pasco, 24, Canfield, was fined $500 and required 20 hours community service for improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle for having a Glock 48 9-millimeter handgun with self-defense rounds in the magazine on May 13.

Allyn Rodriguez, 67, Hayti, Mo., was fined $1,205, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, driving under suspension, a seat belt violation and failure to control.

Joshua D. Vishak, 47, East Liverpool Road, Lisbon, was fined $500 and credited with 43 days in jail domestic violence and assault for straight arming Tera Willoughby on April 9, lifting her off the ground and causing her to fall backward, before striking Jason Wallace several times with his fists.

An Aug. 8 pretrial was set for Brandon S. Farmer, 37, Wisconsin Avenue, Salem, cited with OVI first offense and restricted tinted class.

A July 18 pretrial was set for Ronald F. Ponte Jr., 47, Struthers, cited with OVI first offense, no license and marked lanes.

Thomas R. Rasmussen, 66, Conway, Pa., was fined $850 and required to attend the online course for engaging in prostitution and criminal tools for requesting a prostitute to dominate him in exchange for $150 on Dec. 29.

Brandon M. Byers, 29, 18th Street, Wellsville, was fined $100 and credited with 24 days in jail for domestic violence. A second count of domestic violence was dismissed. Byers had been in a physical altercation with his father Dennis Byers, as well as Gary Zgoda, who had tried to stop him.

Ryan C. Adkins, 35, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was fined $150 for wrongful entrustment.

William Martin, 50, State Street, Salineville, was fined $380 and required 40 hours community service for failure to stop after an accident, driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.

Charles Nicholas Gough, 23, West Washington Street, Lisbon, was fined $285 for possession of marijuana, no license and speeding.

Antonina M. Banez-Sorokach, 45, East 11th Street, Salem, was fined $250 for disorderly conduct amended from resisting arrest. A domestic violence charge was dismissed. She had climbed over a bed to try to get away from police after reportedly assaulting her husband, who was trying to help her in March.

An Aug. 4 pretrial was set for Raymond Charles McCulley, 40, West Main Street, Salineville, charged with disorderly conduct public intoxication for allegedly begging other residents in the area for money to purchase alcohol when he was already unsteady on his feet on May 17.

James M. Doychak, 37, LaCroft Avenue, East Liverpool, was credited with 10 days served in jail, fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for criminal damaging punching holes in the walls and a closet door, as well as breaking glassware and throwing food and flour all over a Lisbon area apartment on May 15.

Todd Richard Reed, 32, Torrence Drive, Wellsville, was fined $250 for sale of tobacco products to person under 21 after selling two JUUL pods to someone who was 18-years-old in Wellsville on May 9.

Joseph Christian Wells, 29, Sell Road, Lisbon, was fined $105 for driving under suspension and loud exhaust.

Ryan M. Thompson, 39, last known address state Route 154, Lisbon, was fined $200 and credited with seven days in jail for drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass for allegedly returning to an East Third Street property on Jan. 20 after he was told not to return there on Dec. 20.

Deborah F. Dixon, 34, Farrell, Pa., was fined $50 for driving under suspension.

Ashley L. Wellman, 38, state Route 344, Leetonia, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana.

Stephen M. Lyons, 29, New Middletown, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from speeding.

John Williams II, 21, South Arch Avenue, Alliance, was fined $140 for driving under suspension and failure to yield in an intersection.

Robert D. Richards, Cleveland, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana.

A June 16 pretrial was set for Larry L. Warner Sr., North Madison Avenue, Salem, cited with driving under OVI suspension.

EL Municipal

EAST LIVERPOOL – In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Jason R. Moore, 45, Annesley Road, was fined $1,025, sentenced to five days in jail and 30 days of house arrest with work release, ordered 60 hours community service and had his license suspended for two years for OVI second offense and marked lanes.

Joseph Jackson IV, 24, Campbell, was fined $150 and sentenced to five days in jail for obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia.

A June 20 pretrial was set for Wilbert E. Faulk Sr., 63, homeless, cited with criminal trespassing.

A June 2 pretrial was set for Bettina M. Williams, 42, Commerce Street, Wellsville, charged with petty theft.

A July 21 pretrial was set for Cynthia M. Kinest, 65, Staunton Avenue, charged with petty theft.

A July 21 pretrial was set for Bridget F. McMahon, 49, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, charged with petty theft.

Christopher M. Tustin, 44, Chester, W.Va., was fined $400 and required 20 hours community service for drug paraphernalia, no license and failure to control.

Kerry L. Appel, 50, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, was fined $50 for illegal distribution of cigarettes.

Lindsay K. Buzzard, 34, Fisher Avenue, was fined $170 for driving under suspension and failure to display a valid sticker.

A June 30 pretrial was set for Kathryn A. Bailey, 59, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, charged with criminal trespassing.

A June 28 pretrial was set for Paul S. Joy Jr., 33, Trentvale Street, charged with domestic violence.

A July 14 pretrial was set for Lonny C. Adkins, 50, McDonald Street, East Liverpool, cited with driving under FRA suspension.

Lucas L. McEldowney, 31, Penn Avenue, was fined $130 for no license and failure to signal.

Kiarra McConnell, 22, Lisbon Street, was fined $20 for failure to yield.

James G. Spencer, 53, Sherwood Avenue, was found not guilty of a driving under FRA suspension citation.
