Municipal

LISBON — Michael J. Boyle, 52, Girard, charged with compelling prostitution and possessing criminal tools, waived his right to a preliminary trial and was bound over to the county grand jury.

An Oct. 12 pre trial was set for Walker J. Trayes, 25, Quincy Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence. Trayes allegedly hit his girlfriend in the face leaving visible marks to her eye on July 18.

Jay Bauer, 34, Warren, was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 130 suspended and 50 imposed and ordered to complete 10 hours of community service and a treatment course for anger management after being found guilty of assault.

Randal W. Keirns, 56, Akron, charged with compelling prostitution and possessing criminal tools, waived his right to a preliminary trial and was bound over to the county grand jury.

Jonathan S. Davis, 36, Struthers, was sentenced to one day in jail and fined $450 after being found guilty of soliciting prostitution and possessing criminal tools.

An Aug. 23 pre trial was set for Cameron L. Wolfe, 19, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing his brother down a flights of stairs.

James J. DePizzo, 51, Girard, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $500 after being found guilty of engaging in prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia. Haley Taylor placed an ad on a known escort website and an undercover agent of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force replied to the ad. Taylor agreed to engage in sexual conduct in exchanged for money and DePizzo allegedly drove Taylor to the meeting location. A crack cocaine pipe was found in DePizzo’s possession.

Patrick H. Adams, 51, East Liverpool, charged with engaging in prostitution, was bound over to the county grand jury following his pre trial.

An Aug. 2 preliminary hearing was set for Joseph T. Whittingham, 55, North Lima, charged with attempted illegal assembly, importuning, possessing criminal tools and disseminating matter harmful to juvenile. Whittingham allegedly contacted and undercover Facebook page of a 15-year-old girl set up by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and attempted to solicit sexual activity.

EL Muni

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, bond forfeiture hearings were continued to Oct. 5 for Timothy Lasure and Elizabeth D. Newlin, both of West Ninth Street, on domestic violence charges.

Mitzi S. Stoddard, of Lincoln Avenue, was set Aug. 31 for a pretrial on charges of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments.

Justin R. Walker, of North Hollywood Drive, was set Sept. 13 on a city income tax return charge.
