Brick — Wilhelm
Miss Sunny Brick and Mr. Eric Wilhelm were united in marriage Dec. 18 at the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool, with Pastor Stephen Knisely officiating the ceremony. A reception followed at Avion on the Water in Canfield.
A reading was performed by Ms. Heather Edwards, sister of the groom.
The bride wore a white mermaid gown with beaded lace motifs and a shimmer tulle skirt with a long train. It was designed with a sweetheart main front neckline. The gown was accented with a white fingertip length veil with a beaded border, and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Mrs. Jayna Thorn, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Sara Crable, Miss Sami Downey, Mrs. Megan McNear, Mrs. Amy Smith and Mrs. Erika Tuuri, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Natalia Smith and flower girl was Juliana Smith, both goddaughters of the bride. The Bridesmaids wore floor length scarlet gowns with a white fur and carried red and white bouquets
Mrs. Jennifer Barkley, sister of the groom, was the best woman. Groomsmen were Mr. Chris Barkley, brother-in-law of the groom; Mr. BJ Brown and Mr. Evan Brown, both brothers of the groom; Mr. Brian Huprich and Mr. Danny Pydynowski, both friends of the groom; and Mr. Dick Wilhelm, father of the groom. Ring bearer was Alex Barkley, nephew of the groom. The groomsmen wore black suits with red vests and bowties.
The bride is the daughter of Penny Brick of East Liverpool and the late Mark Brick. She is a 2002 graduate of East Liverpool High School. She graduated from Kent State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Integrated Mathematics Education and from the Franciscan University of Steubenville with a master’s degree in Educational Administration. She is employed at East Liverpool High School as a geometry teacher.
The groom is the son of Dick and Connie Wilhelm of New Philadelphia and Ms. Ina Roberts of North Canton. He is a 1996 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science. He is employed at WFMJ-TV in Youngstown as Chief Meteorologist.
A honeymoon trip to Sausalito, California was taken immediately after the wedding. They currently reside in Wellsville.
