LISBON – Erin Elizabeth Toolis and Sean Vincent Rose were united in marriage Aug. 22 at New Lisbon Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Rose is the daughter of Edward and Susan Toolis, Lisbon.

Mr. Rose is the son of David and Dorothea Rose, Twickenham, England.

Cindy Carlise officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a HDLN strapless organza dress with a lace top overlay with a baby’s breath crown. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers grown and arranged by Emily Coldwell, bridesmaid.

The matron of honor was Amy Toolis, sister of the bride.

The bride’s attendants were John Toolis, brother of the bride; wearing multi-color dresses were Emily Coldwell, Salineville; Allison Darcy, Cleveland; Min Tran, Columbus; and Whitney Homan, Salt Lake City, Utah; friends of the bride.

Best woman was Rachel Rose, sister of the groom.

The groom’s attendants were Denis deCarvalho, Rosebery Australia; David Sheppard, Sheffield, England; Amy Wilson, Bristol, England; and Melanie Smith, Norwich England.

A reception with 100 guests was held at the Columbiana County Fairgrounds Commercial Barn following the ceremony.

The couple spent their honeymoon visiting friends and family in Ohio and England and reside in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Mrs. Rose has a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Denison University, a master’s degree in social science from the University of Chicago, a master’s degree in social psychology from UCSC and is currently a Ph.D. candidate for social psychology at UCSC.

Mr. Rose has a bachelor’s degree in environmental geography from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, England, and is currently deputy director at non-profit ING San Jose, Calif.

The couple had a second ceremony on Sept. 5 at St. Mary’s University Chapel in Twickenham, England officiated by Father Simon Penhalagan.
