Thrasher — Rayford
CALCUTTA – Stephanie Thrasher and Wynton Rayford were united in marriage on Saturday, July 4, at Faith Community Covenant Church in Struthers.
The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Belinda Moore. The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and reception at The Regency House in Austintown. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Cafe Capri in Boardman.
The bride is the daughter of Randy Thrasher of Wellsville and John and Linda Hall of East Liverpool. She is the granddaughter of Frances Carr and Ruth Thrasher, both of Wellsville. The groom is the son of Willie B. and Karen Rayford of Herndon, Va. He is the grandson of Willie and Rose Rayford of Greenwood, South Carolina.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a one strap Oleg Cassini ball gown in ivory. The gown featured hand-embroidered designs and crystals on the bodice flowing onto the skirt. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink and ivory roses.
Ashley Shaw, best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Ashlee Kirk, sister of the bride, Tara Rayford, sister of the groom, Heather Kirby, Nicole Curtis and Jessica Stewart. The flower girl was Kenadi Berardi, daughter of the bride. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore floor-length gowns of fuchsia. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of light pink and fuchsia roses.
Jamin McClain, best friend of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen included Eric Thrasher, brother of the bride, Amir Solomon, Aaron Balentine, Steve Clements, Michael Beasley and Sim McClain. The ring bearer was Brayden Stull, friend of the couple.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Beaver Local High School and is employed in the Administration Department at Servicelink in Hopewell, Pa. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Westfield High School in Chantilly, Va and is employed as a Network Security Analyst at PNC Bank in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Following a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii, Mr and Mrs. Rayford reside in Calcutta.
