Marjorie and James Adams of Lisbon are announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Abigail Machelle Jones of East Palestine, to Mathew Charles Ferko, also of East Palestine. He is the son of John Ferko and the late Darlene Ferko of East Palestine.

Abigail graduated from Beaver Local, Columbiana County Career Center and Ohio Valley College of Technology. She is employed as a psychiatric technician at Merakey of Beaver Falls, Pa.

The groom-to-be graduated from East Palestine High School, Baldwin Wallace, and Robert Morris University. He is employed as part of the gameday production staff for the Youngstown Phantoms and as a stockman at Walmart in Beaver Falls, Pa.

A church wedding is planned for Oct. 14, 2023 with a fall reception to follow. The couple is planning a honeymoon in Hawaii after.
