Brooke McCartney and James Hanson

Jerry and Kathy McCartney are announcing the engagement and forthcoming winter wedding of their daughter, Brooke Elizabeth McCartney, to James Allen Hanson. He is the son of Jon and Julia Hanson of Tucson, Ariz.

The bride-elect graduated from Defiance College with a Masters of Arts in Education, as well as Ohio Dominican with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. She is currently working as a curriculum coach at The Primrose School of Marysville.

Her fiance received a Bachelor of Arts in Allied Health from Hendrix College.

The couple will be saying their vows in an intimate ceremony at the Saint Columba Cathedral on Saturday, Dec. 12 with a family dinner immediately following at the B & O Station Banquet Hall. The couple will be hosting a reception by invitation at a later date.
