COLUMBIANA – Mark and Linda Case, Columbiana, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn, to Shane Henry Duda, son of Henry and Darlene Duda, Wattsburg, Pa.
The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Columbiana High School and her fiance is a 2008 graduate of Seneca High School, Pa. The couple met as teammates on the Cross Country team at Slippery Rock University, where they both graduated with bachelor’s degrees in biology and both just completed their masters degrees in the physician assistant studies program at the University of Mount Union in August 2015.
The future bride is currently employed by Comprehensive Family Practice in Columbiana as a PA-C.
The future groom is in the process of commissioning as a physician assistant in the Army National Guard.
The proposal occured at the bottom of the Caribbean Sea while they were scuba diving in Belize. Their wedding is planned for Aug. 20, 2016 in Salem.
