NEW WATERFORD – Russell and Ellen Sue Schaefer, New Waterford, are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their son, David Adam, to Julie Eileen Starr, daughter of John Starr and the late Lorraine Starr, Youngstown.
The bride-elect graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 2006 and from Youngstown State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is currently employed at Saint John Vianney School in Gallatin, Tenn. and works as a pre-kindergarten teacher.
Her fiancee graduated from Crestview High School in 2007. He is employed at Wyndham Professionals in Hendersonville, Tenn.
The couple moved to Tennessee and recently purchased their first home in Portland, Tenn.
The couple plans to wed Oct. 9 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown.
There will be a cocktail hour and reception to follow.
