100th birthday celebration

Mr. Robert T. Schuck celebrated his 100th birthday May 6. Family and friends joined Schuck for lunch at Ricky’s English Pub. He “swung into his second century” with a golf themed cake and balloons. Schuck was born in Salem and is a World War II veteran. He is the only surviving male from the Salem High School graduating class of 1941. In addition to playing golf, Robert enjoys painting. His works, many of which depict Salem history, are on display at several locations around town. They include the mural in front of the Kent State building which was his high school and the Smith Center where the Fourth Street School once stood. He has written two books and prior to Covid, he played trombone in the Salem Quaker City Band.

Starting at $2.99/week.
