Margaret Bennett Bert celebrated her 99th birthday early with family and friends in Lexington, S.C., on Sept. 11. She received 90 birthday cards in honor of her 99 years.

Another party was held on her actual birthday, Sept. 14, with family members from Ohio and Florida in attendance. Plenty of cake and refreshments were enjoyed by all.

Margaret moved from Salem to South Carolina in 2006 with her oldest daughter, Carole, for better weather.

Margaret has five children, eight grandsons and 10 great-grandchildren.
