Bardos to celebrate 50 years
Michael Ramon Bardo and Karen Sue (King) Bardo will celebrate 50 years of marriage on June 15. They were married at Damascus Friends Church on a Friday evening in June one week after Mike graduated from The Ohio State University. They built their life and raised their family on Highland Farm on Hartley Road outside of Salem. Their three children, Beth (Rod) Kelly, Kyle (Tami) Bardo, Kirk (Tiffany) Bardo, and later their 16 grandkids, have been immeasurably blessed by them. Countless others have been impacted by their beautiful lives as well.
Mike taught vocational agriculture at Marlington High School for the first five years of his career then enjoyed the remainder of his career teaching at West Branch High School, his alma mater. His day didn’t begin or end with the school bell though; his other call – farming – picked up where school left off. He and Karen were involved in Farm Bureau and 4-H for years and fostered many special friendships. Karen not only lovingly raised their three children but poured into and cared for countless others through the years. Mike and Karen also taught young adult and children’s church classes at Damascus Friends Church for the majority of their marriage.
Anyone who would like to offer congratulations and share their memories are asked to send them a card at 29584 Hartley Road, Salem, OH 44460.
