60th Wedding Anniversary
Debbie Chandler and Diana Nestor are pleased to announce their parents 60th wedding anniversary. Daniel W. Black and Karen Lee Judge were married Feb. 24, 1963 in the Presbyterian Church in Wellsville. It was a very intimate gathering including good friends Rosemary Pasquale (Mouse) and Lex Rebecca Cooper, the preacher and his wife.
Dan and Karen Lee met at Litten Motors (By George) in East Liverpool in the year 1962 where Karen worked for her Grandpa George. Dan came in to visit his brother who also worked at Litten Motors and that is where this amazing love story began. Chuck Adams said “Karen, this is Dan.” “Dan, this is Karen and she wants to go out with you!” After that they went on their first date at the Skyview Drive in Theatre in Dan’s 55 Burgundy Mist Chopped down Chevy, and the rest..as they say is history. Debbie was born in 1964 and Diana in 1967, and the family was complete.
Besides being a master electrician and all around handyman, Dan is a very talented woodworker, making beautiful creations each Christmas for his great-grandson Oakley Culver. His granddaughters Danielle Chandler and Dana Lantier- Pearlman have also been the recipients of special one of a kind gifts including kid size benches and doll cradles.
Karen Lee is a homemaker and wonderful cook as well as a gifted card maker and painter.
The most important thing in their relationship, they have kept God number 1. He has been there for the good times and the bad times.
