Golden year for Hanoverton couple
HANOVERTON — Dan and Becky Kibler of 30278 Howard St., Hanoverton, will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday with their children and grandchildren. The couple was united in marriage Jan. 30, 1971, by the Rev. Eldon Trubee in the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Kibler is the former Becky McKarns, daughter of the late Mac and Maxine McKarns. Mr. Kibler is the son of Betty Hawthorne of Lisbon and the late Robert Kibler. The Kiblers have three children, Tracy (Bill) McKenzie of Lisbon, Ben of Hanoverton and Ashley (Zach) Kennedy of Hanoverton. They also have five grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce and Bailey McKenzie and Laney and Lincoln Kennedy.
Mr. Kibler retired from Mahoning County Career and Tech Center after teaching for 41 years. He is the mayor of Hanoverton and owner of McKarns Tractor. Mrs. Kibler is a homemaker and babysits their grandchildren. They are both members of Hanoverton Presbyterian Church.
They will be celebrating with a family dinner at the Spread Eagle Tavern, and hopefully a party this summer if COVID restrictions allow.
