Hausermans celebrating 70 years of marriage

Donald “Barney” and Evalyn Hauserman are celebrating 70 years of marriage.

Barney Hauserman, the son of Raymond and Martha Viola Hauserman of Youngstown, and the former Evalyn Thompson, the daughter of Curtis and Doratha Thompson of Negley, were were united in marriage August 26, 1950 in Negley. They lived and raised their family in Rogers for many years, then moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine.

Though Barney has had many places of employment starting when he was 14, he was employed at Franklin Furniture company for many years. Evalyn had her own beauty shop in the big town of Rogers and both have been very successful in all they have done. They also owned and operated a florist shop on Carmel Achor Road at their first home called Der Blumen Haus.

The happy couple now have made their home in Columbiana at the Woodland Run condo association. They worship on Sundays at Mount Zion where they have many friends and have been church members for years.

They have three daughters, Karen S. Carey (John) of Gardnerville Nevada, Donna L (Don) Mason of Lisbon and Laurie J. Trotter of Boardman. They also have seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
