NORTH GEORGETOWN -- Shirley and Richard Pifer, North Georgetown, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Pearce House, 28959 U.S. Route 62, Damascus.
The couple has two daughters, Beverly (David) Carney, Damascus; and Brenda Pifer, North Georgetown; and one granddaughter.
The couple has requested no gifts.
