SALEM – Chuck and JoAnn (Shaw) Harris, King Road, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at the Spread Eagle Tavern, Hanoverton.
They were married Feb. 24, 1956 at the United Presbyterian Church in Lisbon by the Rev. C.O. Armstrong.
They operated their family dairy farm near Winona for 30 years.
Mr. Harris was a lineman for the Ohio Edison Co. and worked at Bare Farm Equipment and most recently retired from Ellyson Inc. Farm.
Mrs. Harris worked at United Local Schools for 38 years retiring in Sept. 2015 as Food Service Director.
They are members of the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith, Lisbon Grange and the Oliver Heritage Association.
They have four daughters, Lori (Tom) Stocker, Hustonvile, Ky.; Lisa (Mike) Ellyson, Hanoverton; Joyce Harris Salem; and Misty (Corey) Hughes, Sebring.
They have nine grandchildren, Travis (Kelly) Ellyson, Joscelin Hobbs and Tyler (Lacey) Ellyson, Hanoverton; Melinda (Anthony) McCowan, Junction City, Ky.; Zachary Parks of Kaneohe, Hawaii; Sierra Parks, Norfolk, Va.; Allison Parks, Maryland; Mallory Hughes, Sebring and Mason Hughes, Akron.
They have five great grandchildren Cole, Trent and Brinley Ellyson; and Blake and Kade McCowan.
A trip is planned in the spring.
