Mahers celebrate 65th year
SALINEVILLE – Phil and Audrey (Bates) Maher celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Maher were married Aug. 12, 1950 in Salineville.
Mr. Maher retired as Superintendent of Wellsville Schools in 1986 and Mrs. Maher retired as owner and operator of Audrey’s Beauty Salon in Salineville. After retirement, the couple spent four years living in Anchorage, Alaska and toured and fished throughout the state. They returned to Ohio and lived in Massillon for 24 years before relocating to Kalamazoo, Mich. almost two years ago.
The couple has two daughters, Sandy (John) Whelan of St. Charles, Ill. and Jeanna (Greg) Ketchum of Kalamazoo, Mich., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
