SALEM – Randy and Towanna Strader, Salem, celebrated their 50th anniversary Jan. 15 at the Guilford Grille with a dinner party hosted by the couple’s family.
The former Towanna Adams wed Randy Strader on Jan. 15, 1966 at the Phillips Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Parish presiding.
Special guests at the dinner included Lindia (Byers) Sekely and Robert Adams who served as witnesses to the marriage.
Mr. Strader although semi-retired still does engineering and is a member of the “Tribute” band.
Mrs. Strader has managed the family business and spends time caring for their family.
The couple travels the US for the Senior Olympics and USA Masters Track and Field events. Mr. Strader was inducted into the Ohio Senior Olympics Hall of Fame in 2013.
The couple has five children, nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
