2026 Free Idabelle Firestone Fall Concert Series

Firestone Park Cultural and Custodial Committee is again presenting its August/September concerts at the Idabelle Firestone Gathering Place and Garden in Firestone Park. The five free concerts begin in late August and continue through September, every Sunday at 3 p.m. This is the fourth year the Committee has offered these free events for the community and guests. Descriptions of this season's free concerts follow.
Sunday, Aug. 30 - The Oak Street String Band will present "old time music" with a unique repertoire for all audiences. Named after the vacant house where they practiced, the group offers some fiddling and banjo playing and other instruments. You will tap your feet to this genre of North American folk music. Following this, Tapestries of Ohio, a non-profit music ensemble based in Trumbull County and the Ohio Valley, will present acapella performances, period instrument music, and themed Renaissance entertainment in authentic, colorful costumes. Both groups will perform at Idabelle's Gathering Place, or, in case of rain at Grace Church.
Sunday, Sept. 6 - The Tamburitzans, based out of Pittsburgh and performing for audiences for over 80 years, is a folk dance and music ensemble comprised of talented college performers from all over the country. Each year they dedicate their program to perpetuating international cultural heritage. A wide variety of separate ensembles and segments will represent Eastern Europe, including Ireland, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and other countries nearby with dazzling music, dances and authentic costume changes for each segment. This group has toured internationally and the "spirit" of Eastern Europe with its twirling skirts and intricate dance steps comes alive within their performances. This is the only ensemble that will perform at the Columbiana High School. As with all of the Idabelle Firestone Fall Concert Series, this amazing performance is free to the public!
Sunday, Sept. 13 - The Suburban Brass Quintet, an ensemble specializing in brass instruments performances, has a repertoire representing a wide range of music spanning various genres from classical to brass band favorites. Back from previous seasons by popular demand, their selections include favorite tunes and many patriotic tunes enjoyed by all. Listen for the tuba play the iconic flute solo from the "Stars and Stripes Forever." Performed at Idabelle's Gathering Place, or Grace Church in case of rain.
Sunday, Sept. 20 - Down Und Kraut Polka Band - an uplifting group of musicians playing your favorite polka songs and Octoberfest music. Idabelle's Gathering Place will welcome you with festive bright melodies, lively instrumentation, and those familiar "oom pah" rhythms. Performed at the Gathering Place, or the Columbiana High School in case of rain.
Sept. 27 - Dave Banks Big Band and the Rat Pack - Everybody remembers the "Golden Age of Entertainment" of the 1950s and the hilarious antics of the famous "Rat Pack," an ultimate tribute as performers step into the shoes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. for a live performance of your favorite nostalgic hits, singing, dancing and joking just like the originals. Backed by the Dave Banks fabulous sixteen-piece orchestra, you'll think you've been transported back in time to the famous Sands Hotel in Las Vegas! Performed at Idabelle's Gathering Place, or in case of rain, at the Columbiana High School.
