COLUMBIANA -- Threshold Residential Services (TRS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, successfully hosted its third annual gala Thursday evening at The Barn at Firestone Farms.
The event brought together community leaders, corporate sponsors, program participants, and supporters for an evening of celebration, inspiration and fundraising to further TRS's mission.
"This year's gala was particularly special as we continued our unwavering dedication to fostering independence and inclusion," said Chris Page, CEO of TRS. "We were honored to celebrate with our incredible community of supporters, partners, and the individuals we serve. Recognizing our community's commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is a key part of why we host this event year after year."
The gala's theme, "A Legacy of Care: Building Independence Together," highlighted TRS's long-standing commitment to providing residential support, vocational programs, and inclusive community initiatives. The evening featured a dinner buffet, inspiring speeches from community partners, award presentations for TRS staff members, and entertainment. Guests also had the opportunity to walk the pink carpet and capture special moments in photos in front of a signature event backdrop.
"Every day, we witness the power of community and support in the lives of the individuals we serve," said Seth Walker, Program Director at TRS. "This event was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared commitment to independence and inclusion."
Funds raised from the event will directly support renovations, program expansions, and technology upgrades, ensuring TRS clients continue to receive top-tier services that foster personal growth and autonomy. TRS hopes to surpass last year's fundraising total of $23,600 to further enhance its programs and reach.
"We want to ensure that every person we serve has the tools and support needed to thrive," said Shirley Milliken, president of the Board of Directors. "Seeing our community rally behind this mission at the gala was truly inspiring, and I am excited for what the future holds for TRS."
