SALINEVILLE -- Gary Wayne Schmidt, 61, died at his home Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Born June 28, 1962 in Orange, Calif., he was a son of the late Lawrence H. and Patricia M. (Beck) Schmidt.
Gary worked as a truck driver for many years.
A graduate of East Palestine High School, he enjoyed fishing and was a proud member of the NRA.
Survivors include his children: Lindsey, Charlene, Billie, Amanda, Gary, and Brandy Schmidt, and stepchildren Heidi Warren, Jeannie, Candice, and Jonathon Greschaw; many grandchildren, and a great-grandchild as well as his stepfather, William Tribe, his best friend, Bruce Curtis, and cousin, Patty Fortune.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Schmidt.
A celebration of Gary's life is being planned.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Kerr-Watson Funeral Home.
