CALCUTTA — Crestview earned a 164-172 win over United on Monday at Beaver Creek Meadows.

Braydon Gilbert led all players with a medalist round of 36 for the Rebels. Grant Snyder added a 41, followed by Caleb Booth with a 42 and Derek DuVall with a 45.

Adam Looman and Logan Courtney both shot 41 to pace United. Cole Crawford had a 44, while Davin Ingold added a 46.

The teams will meet again Wednesday at Edgewater Golf Club.

Columbiana 147, McDonald 167

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana opened its boys golf season with a 147-167 win over McDonald on Monday at Valley.

For the Clippers, Trenton Hall had a 34, Luke Struharik 37, David Masters 38 and Nick Klindworth 38.

Josh Srock led McDonald with a 40.

Columbiana plays in the Brookfield Invitational on Wednesday.

Minerva sets record

ZOARVILLE –Minerva’s girls golf team shot a school record 345 to finish second on Monday at the Garaway Pirate Invitational.

Peyton Beaumariage shot a 1-over 73 to finish second for the Lions. Emery Sell shot an 80, while Delaney Sell had an 88 and Mady Bartley 105.

Salem 188, Springfield 197

SALEM — Salem picked up its second win of the season with a 188-197 victory over Springfield Local on Monday at Salem Hills.

Cason Citino led the Quakers with a 44, followed by Traevon Washington (47), Tanner James (48) and Eli James (49).

Springfield Local’s Jackson Hensley earned medalist honors with a 40. Cooper Hensley added a 44, Peyton Shultz shot 54 and Aiden Ehrhart had a 59.

Salem (2-2) will host Alliance on Aug. 11 at Salem Hills.
