Warriors silence Salem
BELOIT — Libbie Davis had two singles, a double and three RBIs as West Branch rolled to a 11-7 win over Salem on Thursday in Eastern Buckeye Conference softball play.
Ellie Tucker added a double and triple with two RBIs. Zoe Metzgar had two singles and two RBIs. Addi Craven had a double.
Aubrey Kutsko had three hits to lead Salem. Channing Toy had a single, double and an RBI. Aniya Jones had a hit and two RBIs.
Klary McKay was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts and three walks in 5 1/3 innings. Morgane Blaine took the loss with two strikeouts and two walks in 2 2/3 innings.
West Branch is 15-5 and 9-0 in the EBC and will be at Carrollton today.
Salem is 10-14 and 3-7 in the league. The Quakers host Firelands in a tournament game on Thursday.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Maddison Foster had two hits and an RBI, while Taylor Foster added a hit and two RBIs in East Palestine’s 6-1 win over East Liverpool on Thursday.
Alivia Magness added two hits and two RBIs.
Kennedy Andre was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts and two walks.
Kylee Evans and Trinity had doubles for East Liverpool.
Cate Davis took the loss with six strikeouts and a walk.
East Palestine (9-8) is at Lisbon for two games today.
East Liverpool is 3-24 and will be at Harrison Central for a tournament game on Tuesday.

GIRARD — Gianna Saxon went 3 for 4 as Girard tamed Beaver Local 11-1 in six innings on Thursday.
Beaver Local scattered five singles through the lineup. Ciara Call took the loss with five strikeouts and two walks in three innings.
Girard is 11-10.
Beaver Local is 17-5 and is at Ursuline on Monday.

COLUMBIANA — LaBrae stopped Crestview 10-0 in seven innings on Thursday.
Rylee Cloutier had two hits for the Rebels with one being a double. Emma Snyder had a triple.
Makayla McKee got the loss with two strikeouts and two walks in two innings.
Crestview is 12-9 and 7-6 in the MVAC Grey.
The Rebels host Smithville in a tournament game on Wednesday.

WARREN — Columbiana saw an 11-game winning streak come to an end with a 18-10 loss to Howland on Thursday.
The Tigers scored seven runs in the six inning to pull away.
Cameron Perkins and Caitlynn Pleska had home runs for the Clippers. Addison Brode added a double.
Brode was the losing pitcher with six strikeouts and seven walks in 5 2/3 innings.
Columbiana is 18-6 and hosts Cardinal Mooney on Monday.

UNITY — Grace Coffee had three hits including three RBIs as United rolled to a 21-1 win over Heartland on Thursday at Ace of Diamonds.
Brittany Miller added two hits and three RBIs. Allyson Lacey, Callie Koons and Payten Kekel each had a double. Jillian Dietrich recorded the win with six strikeouts and a walk in three innings.
Sarah Reynolds had a triple for the Lions.
Kalleigh Shodd took the loss with four strikeouts and 10 walks in three innings.
United (17-6) resumes a suspended game with Southern today.
Heartland is 6-7.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Mattie Carney struck out 10 and walked none while going the distance in an Oak Glen 3-1 win over Wheeling Central Catholic in a West Virginia Class AA, Region 1, Section 1 softball final.
Carney also added a solo home run in the fourth inning. Mikalyn Balch, Addie Smith and Macy Hartung all had hits for the Bears.
Oak Glen (24-8) will try to close out the best-of-three series today at Wheeling Central. If Central wins the series will return to Oak Glen on Saturday for the deciding game.
