GNADENHUTTEN — East Liverpool won five events to highlight Indian Valley’s Bell Legacy Invitational on Friday night.

Senior Julius Jones and junior Maddox Roach were two-time winners for the Potters. Jones was first in the 800-meter run (1:58.26), Roach the 1600 run (4:30.31) and they joined Quintin Conrad and Brody Vulgamore on the winning 3200 relay team (8:34.56).

Freshman Tyler Kirby added a win in the long jump (20-feet-1).

The East Liverpool boys finished second behind host Indian Valley, 166-92.

Most of the meet was held in the rain and the Potters left before the final event, the 1600 relay, because Indian Valley wasn’t running its ‘A’ team.

East Liverpool senior Makiyah Allgood won the girls 100 hurdles (15.62 seconds).

Indian Valley captured the girls team title with 140 points.

East Liverpool will compete in the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Meet on Tuesday.
