Branch finds its range
GREENFORD — West Branch’s softball team got a strong pitching performance from Klary McKay in a 2-0 win over South Range on Friday.
McKay struck out two and walked two while throwing just 73 pitches in the win.
Mati Hawk had a double and an RBI for the Warriors.
South Range falls to 3-2.
West Branch (4-1) is at Minerva on Tuesday.

RAVENNA — Josie Wargo had three hits including a double with four RBIs as United ripped Ravenna 13-1 on Friday.
Payten Kekel added three hits including a double with an RBI for the winners. Grace Coffee and Jillian Dietrich had two hits each.
Dietrich got the win in the circle with three strikeouts and a walk in five innings.
United (5-0) is slated to play at Wellsville on Saturday, weather pending.

Lisbon 15, Heartland 4
LISBON — Sofia Brown had four hits and three RBIs to lead Lisbon to a 15-4 win over Heartland Christian on Friday at the Dickey complex.
Abby Ammon added three hits and three RBIs for Lisbon. Kamryn Peruchetti had two singles, a double and an RBI. Emelia Cook had a triple. Marah Householder and Lexi Roush had doubles.
Peruchetti was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts and a walk.
Rachel Reynolds had three hits for the Lions. Gabriella McDowell took the loss with five strikeouts and five walks in five innings. Heartland served as the home team.
Lisbon (3-5) hosts Columbiana on Monday.
Heartland (0-1) is at Southern on Monday.

BOARDMAN — It was a tough night for the Columbiana softball team as Boardman strung together 10 hits in a 9-2 win.
Gabi Sferra limited the Clippers to four hits with Alivia Bell hitting a double.
Addison Brode took the loss with four strikeouts and a walk in three innings.
Columbiana (5-4) is at Lisbon on Monday.

Toronto 17, Southern 7
TORONTO — Home plate was a busy place.
Seventy-eight batters stepped to the plate, and 24 runners scored as the Toronto softball team tallied four runs in the bottom of the sixth — the last coming on a wild pitch – to defeat Southern Local, 17-7, in six innings on an overcast Friday evening at Michael Simpson Park.
“It was crazy,” first-year Toronto (5-5) coach Ralph Flowers said. “That game had a whole lot of everything. There was a whole of hitting and a whole lot of mistakes.
The Indians sent 36 batters to the plate. Theydrew seven walks and had four batters hit by a pitch, while taking advantage of four errors by the Red Knights.
Kennedy Lewis delivered a three-run home run over the fence in left field, Aubree Pucci collected a single and an RBI and Breena Frischkorn finished with a single.
Addy Martin took the loss for the Indians. Martin struck out three and walked three. She also hit two batters and threw two wild pitches — one of which led to the game-ending run being scored.

ST. MARYS, W.Va. — Oak Glen used just three hits to subdue St. Marys 14-0 in five innings on Friday in softball action.
Mattie Carney walked four times and scored four runs for the winners Danica Holden had a double and three RBIs.
Holden was also the winning pitcher with two strikeouts and two walks in 1 1/3 innings.
St. Marys pitching staff walked 12 batters.

ST. MARYS — The Logan Wildcats blanked Oak Glen 5-0 on Friday night.
Addison Smith and Kayla Wright had hits for the Bears.
Mattie Carney took the loss for the Bears with 12 strikeouts and no walks in six innings.
Oak Glen (8-6) is scheduled to host Linsly for a doubleheader today, weather pending.
