SALEM — Eighth-seeded Campbell Memorial and 10th-seeded Dalton captured Division VI district boys basketball titles Saturday at Cabas Gymnasium.

Dalton knocked off third-seeded Orwell Grand Valley, 61-54, and then Campbell Memorial downed sixth-seeded LaBrae, 64-62.

Campbell Memorial (21-4) plays Dalton (15-10) in the regional semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Canton Fieldhouse.

It was Campbell’s sixth Salem district title and seventh overall.

The Red Devils led 47-40 early in the fourth quarter and 62-56 with less than one minute to play. LaBrae came back on an Owen Boone three-pointer to pull the Vikings within 63-62 with 13 seconds remaining and missed a shot at the buzzer.

Campbell was led by Teyon Harris with 16 points, Christos Davis 14 and Jared Colon 12. Sway Rodriguez, averaging 24.4 points a game, scored all eight of his points in the fourth quarter.

The Red Devils were 11-of-18 from the foul line in the fourth quarter.
