MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Allyson Lacey had a triple and three RBIs as United banged out 10 hits in an 18-8 win over St. Joseph Academy of Cleveland 18-8 in five innings Tuesday at Myrtle Beach.
Josie Wargo added a single, triple and an RBI for United (4-0).
Callie Koons added two hits and an RBI.
Grace Coffee was the winning pitcher with 10 strikeouts and nine walks in four innings.
United returns back to Ohio to host Ravenna on Monday.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — United scored five runs in the sixth inning to topple Mayfield (Ohio) 13-12 on Tuesday in softball play.
Josie Wargo had a home run and four RBIs to lead the Eagles. Callie Koons added two doubles and an RBI. Chloe Angelo had a double, single and an RBI. Grace Coffee and Brittany Miller had doubles. Miley Pitts had a triple and two RBIs.
Payten Kekel got the win in relief with three strikeouts and a walk in 2 2/3 innings.

SALEM — Salem’s softball team suffered an 8-2 loss to Jackson-Milton on Tuesday.
Morgane Blaine had two hits for the Quakers. Aubrey Kutsko added a triple.
Blaine took the loss with five strikeouts and six walks in seven innings.
Salem (0-1) is at Mineral Ridge on Friday.

SALINEVILLE — Southern Local suffered a 19-3 loss to East Canton in five innings on Tuesday.
For the Indians (0-2), Gianna Pecorelli had a double, single and an RBI. Brenna Frishkorn added a triple.
Makenna Jones took the loss with two strikeouts and seven walks in three innings.
Southern hosts Lisbon on Monday.

UNITY — Kennedy Andre struck out 14 as East Palestine picked up a 7-1 softball win over Chaney on Tuesday at Ace of Diamonds. Maddie and Taylor Foster had two hits and an RBI each. Cami Kridler added two hits, while Lilly Ratner had two RBIs.
East Palestine (1-1) plays at Columbiana on Monday.

NEW MANCHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s softball team dropped its second straight with a 14-6 loss to Wheeling Park on Tuesday.
Oak Glen is 2-2 and has split a pair with the Patriots.
Danica Holden led the Bears with a single, triple and two RBIs. Riley Bruce added two hits. Mattie Carney took the loss with five strikeouts and two walks in 4 2/3 innings.
Oak Glen will host Beaver Local today.
