Hull just misses
KENT — United junior Luke Hull finished three pins short of advancing at Division II sectional bowling tournament Friday at Spins Bowl.
Hull rolled a 580 series (166-221-193) to finish eighth overall.
The top four teams and top four individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the district tournament Feb. 21 at Roseland Lakes in Oakwood near Cleveland.
Individual qualifiers include Akron Springfield senior Rylan Slusser, first with a 623 series; Norton senior Jacob Robison, third with a 597; Lake Center Christian junior Zeke Conley, fourth with a 595; and Lake Center Christian junior Tristan Roberts, sixth with a 583.
Also for United, senior Ezekiel Cannon was 47th with a 398 (147-132-119); sophomore Ethan Logan was 48th with a 393 (130-97-166); and junior Isaiah Huddleston was 56th with a 330 (94-126-110).
Heartland Christian finished 13th in the team standings with 2,609.
For Heartand, sophomore Christian Hamilton was 19th with a 513 series (168-142-203); sophomore Dustin Harman 51st with 377 (128-138-111); sophomore Titus Trunick 55th with a 336 (122-103-111); sophomore Camden Holloway (128-115); junior Matthew Bushling (112-111); junior Caden Jones (123).
The United and Heartland girls will be at Spins Bowl on Monday.
