Tigers, Indians win TMC titles

CANFIELD — Wellsville’s bowling team won the Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana Valley Conference title on Friday at Amron Lanes.

The Tigers had 3,026 pins to second-place Lordstown’s 2,787 pins. Heartland was third with 2,626 pins.

Wellsville’s Tyler Landess was the individual boys champ with a 663 series. Heartland’s Titus Trunick was third with a 521. Heartland’s Christian Hamilton was fifth with a 490 series.

Southern Local won the girls title with 2,654 pins.

Hunter Dickson of Southern was the individual girls champ with a 521 series. Wellsville’s Makayla Landess was second with a 477 series.

Wellsville’s Tyler Landess, Cameron Taylor, Makayla Landess and Madelyn Landess were all first team TMC Valley selections as was Southern’s Kennedy Lewis.

Southern’s Logan McCartney, Hunter Stewart and Remington Nezbeth were second team selections.
