COLUMBIANA — Garrettsville Garfield maintained the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Tier lead by running past Crestview, 60-35, Thursday.
Garfield, which opened up a 32-13 halftime lead, improves to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the MVAC, tied with LaBrae.
Tanner Guy paced the Rebels with eight points.
Crestview drops to 3-8 and 1-3 in league play. The Rebels will be at Labrae on Monday.
In the junior varsity game, Crestview rallied from a 23-18 halftime deficit for a 54-43 win. Dylan Stoffer scored 14 points and Carter Love 13 for the Rebels.

Madonna 64, Oak Glen 61
WEIRTON, W.Va. — A late rally helped Weirton Madonna turn back Oak Glen 64-61 on Thursday in boys basketball action.
Oak Glen fell to 4-7.
Mason Kell had 15 points for the Golden Bears. Gavin Geiss added 13 points, while Noah Willey had 10 points and eight rebounds.
Oak Glen won the jayvee game, 56-41. Colt Hissam had 15 points for the Bears.
Oak Glen will host Wheeling Central on Tuesday.
