WELLSBURG — The Heartland Christian girls basketball took its show on the road and picked up a 57-43 win over Brooke on Friday.

The Lions doubled the Bruins’ first-quarter output, scoring 16 pointsto the home team’s eight. They never looked back.

Sarah Reynolds paced the Lions, dropping in eight field goals and four buckets from the foul line to score a game-high 20 points. Rachel Reynolds chipped in eight points and Emily McDowell added seven to Heartland’s efforts.

CADIZ — Harrison Central outscored Beaver Local 15-3 in the second quarter for a 49-36 win Wednesdayn.

Tori Druschel led the Beavers with 10 points, all in the scond half.

Mallory Miller added nine points, Calli Sorge eight and Ally Wright seven.

Beaver Local falls to 1-3 and hosts Oak Glen Saturday.

Lilly Wright scored six points for the Beavers and Leah Schrieber added four.
