KENT — United’s boys bowling team won the Div. II sectional tournament on Friday at Spins Bowl.

The team totaled 2,890 plus 1,192 from baker games.

For the Eagles, Ethan Hively had a 625 series (182-227-216), Michael Hoffee 605 series (203-203-199), Patrick Bryan 530 series (194-187-149), Josh Hawkins 583 series (213-182-188) and Preston Furlong 547 series (178-181-188).

The Golden Eagles were first out out of 15 teams. It’s the second straight season the team has qualified to districts.

United will try to advance to the state tournament for the first time as a team on Feb. 23 at Rebman Recreation in Lorain. The top four district teams and top four individuals not on a team will advance to state.
