Warriors crush Aviators

SALEM — West Branch’s boys golf team was a 174-269 winner over Alliance on Wednesday at Flying B Golf Course.

Dominic Brenner and Kaleb Votaw were the low scorers for the Warriors each shooting a 42. Hunter Shields shot a 44, Jase Libb a 46 while Cater Hawk and Riley Hendershott each shot a 47 for West Branch.

West Branch will play Marlington on Friday at Tannenhauf.

Columbiana girls tri

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s girls golf team knocked off East Palestine and Poland on Wednesday at Valley.

For the Clippers (5-3), Ellie Jackson had a 44, Annaka Patrick 48, Katrina Patrick 49 and Michaela Pinciaro 50.

For Poland, Olivia Zura had a 49, Kylie Kapics 50, Allison Lakic 54 and Nina Gordon 55.

For East Palestine, Addy Bycroft had a 45, Kayla Bland 54, Loredo Cienic 62 and Lillie Rather 69.

Columbiana hosts United today.

Salem splits

SALEM — Salem’s boys golf team scored a 182-238 win over Alliance on Wednesday at Salem Hills.

For Salem, Scott Colian had a 42, Cole Ford 43, Anthony Colian 47 and Sam Bricker 51.

Sam Gress led Alliance with a 54.

On Tuesday Minerva beat Salem 199-206 at Salem Hills.

For Salem, Cole Ford had a 45, Aaron Honeycutt 50, Dario Sevek 51 and Quinton Trussel 53.

Salem is 2-3 and 0-3 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

The Quakers play Alliance today at Sleepy Hollow.

Garfield 179, Crestview 243

GARRETTSVILLE — Garfield topped Crestview 179-243 in action on Wednesday at Sugarbush.

Landen Gedeon led the G-Men with a 42.

For the Rebels, Luke Requardt had a 51, Rod McCune 57, Tristan Milhoan 65 and Tom Farley 70.

Crestview faces Liberty on Monday at the Meadows.

Oak Glen tri

NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s golf team defeated Weir and Beaver Local on Wednesday at Woodview.

Oak Glen had 192 to Weir’s 195 and Beaver’s 217.

For the Golden Bears, Logan Weekley had a 43, Colby Vega 48, Brady Chaney 50, Zack Davis 51 and Brasinn Provenzano 51.

Oak Glen is 5-4 and will play John Marshall and Steubenville on Tuesday at Woodview.

Jude Smith had a 38 for Weir.

For Beaver Local, Kristian Lantz had a 48, Michael McKenzie 54, Mike Druschel 55 and Mason Board 66.

Beaver Local is 3-3 and will play East Liverpool on Monday at the Meadows.

GREENFORD — South Range’s girls soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Springfield on Tuesday.

Brionna Holt scored for Springfield, while Devin Sauerwein scored for South Range.

Springfield is at Salem on Monday.

CAMPBELL — Campbell scored a 6-2 win over East Palestine in prep soccer action on Tuesday.

Dominic Olenick had six goals for Campbell.

BELOIT — West Branch’s girls tennis team blanked Southeast 5-0 on Wednesday to move to 5-0 on the season.

Ally Zion, LilyAnn Bonar and Autumn Johnston were singles winners. The doubles teams of Kate Slutz-Niah Muniz and Sophia McDonald-Irish Shofroth were also winners.

West Branch is at East Palestine on Aug. 22.
