Quakers handle Palestine

EAST PALESTINE –Salem’s girls tennis team topped East Palestine 5-0 on Monday.

Auburn Hamilton, Emma Hammers and Maria Sargent all won singles matches for the Quakers.

The doubles teams of Hadley Carlisle and Memphis Haueter as well as Lainey Haas and Meadow Anderson won by forfeit.

West Branch 5, United 0

BELOIT — The West Branch tennis team moved to 4-0 by defeating United 5-0 on Monday.

United fell to 1-2.

West Branch is at Southeast on Wednesday.

FIRST SINGLES: Ally Zion (W) def. Hadley Brereton 6-3, 6-2

SECOND SINGLES: LilyAnn Bonar (W) def. Kaylee Pitts, 7-5, 6-2

THIRD SINGLES: Autumn Johnston (W) def. Alexa Ludwig, 6-1, 6-0

FIRST DOUBLES: Kate Slutz-Niah Muniz (W) def. Emma McDevitt-Piper Richey, 6-1, 6-0

SECOND DOUBLES: Iris Shofroth-Sophia McDonald (W) def. Addie Johnson-Kendra Cameron, 6-4, 3-6 (10-6)

East Liverpool 3, Southeast 0

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s tennis team was a 3-0 winner over Southeast on Monday at Thompson Park.

East Liverpool is 4-1 and is at Salem on Wednesday.

FIRST SINGLES: Peyton Vulgamore (E) def. Jordon Gruver, 6-2, 6-2

SECOND SINGLES: Elise Montgomery (E) def. Cassidy Stimms, 6-1, 6-1

FIRST DOUBLES: Dacianelle Andrews-Gracie Murrary (E) def. Emily Mobasher-Abby Smith, 6-2, 6-1
