Sutton’s second no-hitter
LEAVITTSBURG — Kaedyn Sutton tossed her second no-hitter of the season as Crestview defeated LaBrae 10-0 in Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division action.
Sutton had 10 strikeouts and one walk in the win. At the plate, she had two hits and two RBIs.
Karsyn Moore had a single, double and an RBI. McKenna Schultz added two hits and two RBIs. Brooke Brubaker also had two hits and two RBIs.
Crestview is 7-3 and hosts LaBrae on Friday.

United 12, Southern 0
SALINEVILLE — United was back at full strength and the Eagles showed it Wednesday.
Colby Burton and Tori Firth each had a home run, two singles and four RBIs and Firth tossed a one-hitter in United’s 12-0 win over Southern Local in six innings Wednesday.
United improves to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. The Eagles hadn’t played since April 9 because all but six players went on the band trip last week.
Firth struck out 13 and allowed only a single to Alexis Ensinger with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning. She has given up three hits over the last 20 innings.
Mati Zines contributed a double, single and two RBIS; Brielle Rose a double and single; Makaylah Craig two singles; Samantha Lippiatt an RBI double; and Ally Lacey a single.
The Eagles will play Chaney at the Field of Dreams in Boardman at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

CAMPBELL — East Palestine’s softball team got three hits and four RBIs from Maddie Foster in a 17-5 win over Campbell on Wednesday.
East Palestine is 4-2 and is at Lisbon on Friday.
Leila Martin added a hit and an RBI. Alexus Robb walked four times and scored three runs.

MENTOR — Columbiana produced a late comeback but ultimately fell to Div. I Mentor 9-7 on Wednesday.
Tori Long had two triples for the 7-4 Clippers. Caitlynn Pleska added two hits including a double and three RBIs. Julia Rapp had two hits.
Columbiana hosts United on Monday.

SALEM — Howland piled on 18 hits in a 14-6 win over Salem on Wednesday.
Rylie Troy had a double, triple and two RBIs for Salem. Mack Zumbar had a double. Channing Toy had two hits and an RBI.

BELOIT — Sydney Mercer got caught stealing home in the 10th inning as West Branch dropped a 4-3 decision to Marlington in a key Eastern Buckeye Conference battle on Wednesday.
West Branch falls to 8-2 and 5-1 in the league.
Ryley Pittman had three hits including a triple for the Warriors. Reagan Greeneisen had a triple, single and an RBI. Mercer, Skyler Greeneisen and Tori McKay had two hits each.
West Branch hosts Alliance today.
Marlington is 7-1 and 4-0 in the league.

GREENFORD — South Range’s Samantha Susany had a sacrifice fly to win the game in a 4-3 Raider win over Poland on Wednesday.
South Range, ranked third in the state in the Div. III coaches poll, is 8-1.
Julie Stachowicz and Madison Dado had triples for South Range.
Susany had eight strikeouts in the circle as well.
South Range is at Lakeview today.
