Beaver grapplers take second

CAMBRIDGE — Beaver Local’s wrestling team opened the season by taking second on Saturday at the Cambridge Invitational.

Beaver Local was led by Logan Ours who placed first at 165. Dorian Jackson was second at 150, while Gabe Morgan was second at 175. Zane McCoy was second at 285 as was Jaymin Salsberry at 138.

Also for the Beavers, Brodi Bowersock was fourth at 106.

Kaydon Bobby was seventh at 126. Mark Emmerling was sixth at 144. Justin Cox was sixth at 157 and Tristan Murphy fifth at 190.

Eagles battle at Malvern

MALVERN — United took second on Saturday at the Malvern Invitational.

The Eagles had 164.5 points which was just behind Malvern’s 166 points. Southern was fourth with 149.

Winning for the Eagles was Payne Brereton (215) and Dallas McCracken (285). Gage Smith was second (126). Finishing third were Ethan Heestand (113), Logan Castro 120, Jenson Baker (144), Gavin Berger (165) and Tucker Kiko (175).
