Wolfe guides Golden Eagles

BRISTOLVILLE — United senior Samantha Wolfe did it again for the Eagles.

Wolfe bagged two goals as the Eagles bounced Bristol 3-2 on Tuesday.

Wolfe now has 104 goals and 30 assists for her career.

Grace Hall added a goal for the Eagles. Rachael Rhodes had two assists and Emily Ingold had one.

Katie Dees had seven saves.

United is at Crestview on Saturday.

Beaver 1,

Steubenville 1

STEUBENVILLE — Chansyn Hoppel’s goal on an assist from Michelle Stoneburner in the second half gave Beaver Local at 1-1 draw at Steubenville on Tuesday.

Beaver Local is 4-2-2.

Caiden Lamp had 12 saves in goal for the Beaver, who is at St. Clairsville on Thursday.

Marleny Torress had Big Red’s goal.

John Marshall 6,

East Liverpool 3

EAST LIVERPOOL — Annabel Fitch scored two goals and Allie Kidder one in East Liverpool’s 6-3 loss to John Marshall in girls soccer action Tuesday.

Maela Taylor had 15 saves in goal.

The Potters (1-6) will host Columbiana on Thursday.

East Liverpool 3, Harrison Central 0

CADIZ — The East Liverpool boys scored three unassisted goals to beat Harrison Central, 3-0, Tuesday.

Jayden Kerr, Owen Kline and Hayden Stovall collected goals in the victory. Cole Dailey made three saves in goal for the shutout.

East Liverpool (5-1-2) is off until the OVAC tournament next week.

Ursuline 5,

Columbiana 0

YOUNGSTOWN — Columbiana’s boys soccer team was blanked by Ursuline 5-0 on Tuesday.

Dylan Hogan had 10 saves in goal for Columbiana.

Columbiana is at Mineral Ridge on Thursday.

West Branch 1,

Alliance 0

ALLIANCE — West Branch’s boys soccer team tamed Alliance 1-0 on Tuesday thanks to a penalty kick conversion from AJ Fusco.

The Warriors relied on strong defensive performances from senior Ashton O’Hara and sophomore Lane Lippiatt for the shutout.

West Branch is 3-4 and 2-1 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

The Warriors visit Waterloo Thursday.

Oak Glen 8, Linsly 0

WHEELING, W.Va. — Oak Glen’s girls soccer team won its seventh straight by ripping Linsly 8-0 on Tuesday.

Oak Glen (7-1) scored four goals in each half.

The Bears are currently second in the OVAC Class 4A standings behind St. Clairsville and ahead of Beaver Local.

Thursday is the final cutoff date for the soccer tournament which begins on Tuesday.

Oak Glen will host Fairmont Senior at 3 p.m. Saturday.
