Malone Invite

CANTON –The 53rd annual Malone University Cross Country Invitational will be held Saturday.

There will be nine races, beginning with the second-grade and under 600-meter run at 8:20 a.m.; the third- and fourth-grade 800-meter run at 8:30 a.m.; the fifth- and sixth-grade 1,000-meter run at 8:40 a.m.; the high school girls 5,000-meter run at 9 a.m.; the high school girls 5,000-meter run at 9:35 a.m.; the junior varsity girls/open 5,000-meter run at 10:25 a.m.; the junior varsity boys/open 5,000-meter run at 11:10 a.m.; the junior high girls 3,200-meter run at 11:50 a.m.; and the junior high boys 3,200-meter run at 12:25 p.m.

Rebels fifth

SALEM — Crestview’s boys team finished fifth on Friday at the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Gray Division tournament at Salem Hills.

Brookfield won with a 393.

Crestview had a 428. For the Rebels, Emily Hill had a 96, Luke Requardt 99, Matt Wollett 106 and Jon Beveridge 127.

McDonald won the Scarlet Division title with a 350. Sebring was seventh with a 482.
