Eagles blank Lions

COLUMBIANA — United Local earned a 9-0 win over Heartland Christian, Tuesday night.

Maddox Andrea led the Eagles attack with two goals and one assist. Kelan Johnson, Landon Jones, Matthew Logan, Nathan Marhefka, Wyatt Medure, and Dante Rapp each added a goal for United (6-3-1).

The ninth goal was an own goal by Heartland (1-4-1).

Jones, Logan, Caleb Blake, Ethan Hively, Ethan Stout, and Jacob Tucker each had an assist for the victors. Ethan Hively recorded one save in goal and split the clean sheet with Dante Rapp.

United travels to West Branch Thursday night.

Salem 6, Minerva 1

SALEM — Salem’s boys soccer team bounced Minerva 6-1 on Tuesday to move to 7-4 on the season.

The Quakers are also 3-1 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Lance Bailey had two goals, while Troy Gibson added two goals. Kade Pasco and Camden Sampson each had goals. AR Berlin had two assists. Corey Plunket and Max Kemats had assists. Jon Null had eight saves.

Salem is at Crestview on Thursday.

Kenston 5,

West Branch 1

CHAGRIN FALLS — Kenston beat West Branch 5-1 on Tuesday.

West Branch is 5-3-2.

Chloe Dennison had the goal for the Warriors.

Emmy Jones had eight saves.

West Branch hosts United Saturday morning.

Crestview 13, LaBrae 1

LEAVITTSBURG — Crestview’s boys soccer team tripped up LaBrae 13-1 on Tuesday in boys MVAC Gray Division action.

For the Rebels, Ryan Emch had five goals and three assists. Nick Novak added three goals and three assists. Mitchell Auer had three goals. Matt DeNiro had three assists. Jacob Wainwright and Kyler Hoon each had a goal. Carter Blakeman, Andrew Bucey and William Welch had assists.

Crestview is 9-0 and hosts Salem on Thursday.

Southeast 2, United 1

HANOVERTON — United’s girls soccer team fell to Southeast by a 2-1 count on Tuesday.

Samantha Wolfe scored for the Eagles.

Katie Dees had five saves in goal for United. Katie Dees added five saves.
