Crestview boys run mark to 7-0
KINSMAN — Nick Novak had four goals and three assists as Crestview ripped Badger 8-0 on Thursday in soccer action.
Mitchell Auer added two goals and an assist.
Carter Blakeman had a goal and two assists. William Welch had the other goal. Andrew Bucey and Tyler Mellott added assists. Sam Campbell had four saves in goal.
Crestview is 7-0 and is at Ursuline on Saturday.
Salem 7, Southeast 1
SALEM — Salem’s boys soccer team ripped Southeast 7-1 on Thursday at Sebo Stadium.
Landon Bailey had four goals for the Quakers while Kade Pasco added three. AR Berlin had three assists with Camden Sampson, Caleb Shafer and Lance Bailey each adding one.
Jon Null had two saves in goal.
Salem is now 6-4-0 on the season and host Minerva on Tuesday.
Rootstown 2, United 2
ROOTSTOWN — United’s boys soccer team tied Rootstown 2-2 on Thursday.
Scoring goals for the Eagles were Ethan Stout and Louden Stryffeler. Stout and Matthew Logan had assist. Ethan Hivley made three saves..
United is 4-3-1 and is at Lordstown on Saturday.
E. Liverpool 3, Harrison Central 2
EAST LIVERPOOL — It was a night of firsts for East Liverpool sophomore Dacianelle Andrews and junior Gabby Green.
Andrews scored three goals — her first varsity goals — and Green made 42 saves in her first game in net to highlight the Potters’ 3-2 win over Harrison Central on Thursday.
Emily Wright assisted on one of the goals.
East Liverpool (2-5) will host Columbiana at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Beaver Local 2, St. Clairsville 2
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — St. Clairsville and Beaver Local played to a 2-2 draw in girls soccer action on Thursday.
Chansyn Hoppel and Erin McComas each had goals for the Beavers. Jessica Eisenhart had an assist.
Beaver is 4-2-3 and will play in an OVAC class 4A semifinal on Tuesday on the road. Beaver Local was third in the standings heading into Thursday’s games.
St. Clairsville was in first with Oak Glen second by a slim margin.
Harrison Central was in the fourth position.
Pairings will be announced today.
West Branch 3, Waterloo 0
ATWATER — West Branch scored three goals in the second half to beat Waterloo, 3-0, in boys soccer action Thursday.
Sophomore Cody McKenzie open the scoring, followed by fershman Trey Thomas’ header from a corner kick and senior Ashton O’Hara scored late.
The Warriors (4-4 overall and 2-1 in the EBC) will travel to Canfield on Saturday.
