South Range product wins Pro Football HOF Marathon
CANTON — Kayla (Witmer) Aluise, a 2007 graduate of South Range High School, is still running out front.
Aluise won the women’s race at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Marathon last Sunday.
She completed the 26.2-mile race in 3 hours, 2 minutes, 43 seconds.
Aluise was 18th overall in the 516-runner marathon field.
Israel Merkle of Akron was the men’s winner in 2:28.29.
Scott Wolfe of East Palestine finished 15th in 2:59.44.
More than 2,500 runners competed in the marathon, half marathon and 5K runs.
