Potters reach district
DOVER — East Liverpool junior singles player Cole Dailey and the Potters’ doubles team of sophomore Preston Dawson and senior Norman Butler advanced to Division II district play.
Both Potter entries were the second seeds in the Division II East sectional tournament and won two matches Monday at Dover Park.

The top four singles players and top four doubles players advance to district play at Portsmouth on May 22.
Dailey earned 6-0, 6-0 wins over Steubenville senior Andrew Neely and Beaver Local junior Lukas Wain — the Beavers’ lone player at the sectional.
He will play St. Clairsville’s fourth-seeded Evan Holsetein today. The other sectional semifinal has West Holmes’ top-seeded Curtis Wagner taking on St. Clairsville’s third-seeded Alex Douglass.
