Warriors’ Anderson no-hits Quakers

BELOIT — Jordan Anderson struck out eight and had a no-hitter in a 10-0 West Branch win over rival Salem on Tuesday.

West Branch is 10-4 and 4-1 in the league.

Anderson is 8-2 on the season.

Ryley Pittman had a double, triple and three RBIs to lead the Warriors on the offensive end.

Sydney Mercer had a triple.

Salem’s jayvees were 3-2 winners over West Branch.

Salem (4-9) is at Girard today, weather pending.

West Branch is at Alliance Thursday.

United 19, Leetonia 8

LEETONIA — Kassidy Everhart singled three times and drove in five runs and Tori Firth and Samantha Lippiatt each homered in United’s 19-8 win over Leetonia in five innings Tuesday.

Leetonia took a 3-0 lead before United scored four runs in the second inning and 10 more in the third inning for a 14-3 advantage.

Firth was the winning pitcher and drove in three runs with a home run and a single. Lippiatt homered, singled and drove in two runs. Madison Boyle and Mati Zines each had two singles. Colby Burton and Savannah Burton both hit doubles.

Megan Rosko led Leetonia with a home run, a double, a single and four RBIs. Delaney Roller added two singles.

United will host Beaver Local on Thursday.

UNITY– East Palestine downed Jefferson County Christian 14-3 on Tuesday.

Ivy Burkett had a single, double and four RBIs for the Bulldogs. Morgan Rutledge had two hits and three RBIs.

Gabby Andre had 10 strikeouts.

East Palestine is 3-9.

The Bulldogs are at Warren JFK on Thursday.

CALCUTTA — Toronto punched out Beaver Local 10-5 on Tuesday.

Michelle Anderson had three hits and four RBIs for the winners.

Beaver Local Hailey Russell had two hits and an RBI. Olivia Keller added two hits and scored a run. Alexa Jordan had two hits, a run and an RBI.

Beaver Local is 4-10.

Beaver is at Buckeye today.

Samantha Susany had three hits, while Juli Stachowicz had two hits and an RBI.

Kelly Szolek and Madison Dado each had two hits.

South Range is 13-3 and hosts Struthers on Monday.

ALLIANCE — Marlington and Salem finished their game from April 8 and Angela Cirone started Monday with a two-run single that put the Dukes on their way to a 5-2 win.

Marlington is 10-1 overall and remains unbeaten in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

Cirone finished 4-for-4 with a home run.

Salem loaded the bases in the fifth inning on doule by Lauryn Barton, a single and steal by Hannah Kelm single and a walk to Jenna McClish, but could not score.
