Salem streaks past Lisbon

LISBON — Salem’s baseball team won its seventh straight game by stopping Lisbon 12-1 in five innings on Friday.

Preston Markovich had a grand slam for the Quakers (7-1). Carson Rhodes had a home run, double and four RBIs.

Jackson Johnson had a double, triple and two RBIs.

Tyler Welsh had two hits for Lisbon(4-3).

Salem plays Ursuline on Monday at Cene Park.

Lisbon is at East Palestine on Monday.

CALCUTTA — Harrison Central’s baseball team scored 11 unanswered runs to start the game and rolled to a 13-2 win over Beaver Local on Friday.

Ethan Agnew had a double and two RBIs for the Beavers. Ryan Cunningham had a double.

Beaver Local (4-3) is at Struthers today.

Carter Blakeman had a a single and RBI for the Rebels. Matthew Strank and Kyle Saunders had singles. Matthew Lindsay had an RBI.

Crestview is 4-3.

The Rebels scored their runs on a hit batter and passed ball in the eighth to win.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Luke Blasko threw a no-hitter as South Range bested Madison (Ohio) 11-0 in five innings on Friday to complete its spring break trip at the Ripken Experience.

Blasko struck out five in the victory.

Trey Pancake, Michael Perry and Garrett Sheets had two hits each for the Raiders. Pancake and Perry homered.

South Range is 6-1 and will be at Poland on Monday.
