Columbiana beats Bulldogs for 5-0 start

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana kept its unbeaten record intact with a 16-4 win over East Palestine in six innings on Tuesday.

The Clippers are 5-0 and 3-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Tori Long got her third win of the season on the mound and also had three hits and three RBIs. Maci Linhart had three hits and two RBIs. Mackenzi Gamble had three hits and an RBI, while Alaina Johnston had a hit and three RBIs. Ava Davanzo had three hits and an RBI.

Morgan Rutledge paced Palestine with two hits and an RBI.

Columbiana is at Leetonia today.

LISBON — McKenna Dailey had a home run, a double and three RBIs in Lisbon’s 12-2 win over United in five innings on Tuesday.

Lisbon is 4-1 and 4-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference.

Mya Emmerling had two singles, a double and two RBIs.

Tori Firth hit a home run for the Eagles (3-2, 2-2). Savannah Burton added a double and triple.

Troy added two more hits and three RBIs.

COLUMBIANA — Crestview tallied 14 runs in the second inning to cruise past Liberty 21-0 on Tuesday.

McKenna Schultz and Karsyn Moore had three hits each for the Rebels.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — South Range’s softball team bested North Bullitt (Kentucky) 13-3 and Madison (Ohio) 16-3 in five innings on Tuesday.

In the first game, Reagan Irons had three hits including a triple. Bree Kohler had a single and triple. Kelly Szolek had two doubles.

In the second game against Madison, Irons, Jillian Strecansky and Madison Dado had three hits each. Kohler, Jamie Feren, Strecansky and Taylor Smesko had triples.

South Range is 6-1 and will continue play in Myrtle Beach today.

Sydney Mercer had two doubles and an RBI for the Warriors. Anderson had a home run.

West Branch is at Minerva on Thursday.
