HANOVERTON — United’s softball team improved to 3-0 with a 13-1 win over East Palestine in five innings.

Sam Lippiatt had a home run and two doubles for the winners. Mati Zines added three hits. Tori Firth had two hits, while Savannah Burton had a single and double. Colby Burton had a double. Kassidy Everhart had two hits.

United hosts Rootstown on Thursday.

WELLSVILLE — Mya Emmerling drove in five runs with two doubles and a single and pitched a shutout as Lisbon blanked Wellsville, 13-0, in five innings Tuesday.

McKenna Dailey added two doubles and three RBIs and Justyce Vrable two hits and two RBIs.

Lisbon (2-0) will play at East Canton at noon Saturday.

SALEM — Salem’s 2021 home debut went to Minerva as the Lions broke open the game late to come away with an 8-2 victory on Tuesday.

Lauryn Barton made a diving catch for the Quakers, 2-1.

Rylie Troy and Dorothy Moore had two hits and an RBI apiece. Chase Toy, Madalynn Workman and Bella Brant each singled.

CARROLLTON — Beaver Local’s softball team dropped a 10-0 decision to Carrollton in five innings on Tuesday.

Olivia Keller had four strikeouts for the Beavers.

West Branch 13, Alliance 3

ALLIANCE — West Branch’s softball team topped Alliance 13-3 in five innings on Tuesday.

West Branch is 3-0.

Jordan Anderson had seven strikeouts on the mound. Anderson, Sydney Mercer and Ryley Pittman all had home runs.

West Branch hosts Jefferson on Friday.

The Warrior jayvees beat Alliance 22-2. Zoe Lesch had four hits.

Kohler had a triple and home run with three RBIs. Jamie Feren had a single and double. Samathan Susany had a single and double. Reagan Irons had a single and double. Kelly Szolek had two singles.

SALEM — Minerva scored seven runs in the sixth inning and seven in the seventh to beat Salem, 13-6, in junior varsity action Tuesday.

Abby Ide went the distance for the victory. Tana Reed led the Lions with three singles and two runs.

Savannah Schaff pitched four hitless innings for the Quakers. Ellie Kidd pitched the final three innings and took the loss.

Kaylee Carlisle led the Quakers with a triple, two singles, three RBIs and two runs. Avery Carr had a triple and a run and Haley Brant a single, RBI and a run.
