Lions prey on Rams

COLUMBIANA–Heartland Christian recorded its ninth win of the season after defeating Mineral Ridge 59-55 on Saturday. Heartland outscored Ridge 33-23 in the second half to secure the come from behind win. The Lions are now 9-3.

For Heartland, Joey Donofrio had 20 points and Jonathan Bertovich had 19 points.

For Ridge, Austin Governor and Maurice Clark each had 11 points to lead the team.

Heartland is at Southern on Tuesday.

EAST PALESTINE–Leetonia took down East Palestine 60-46 on Saturday. Leetonia led 21-10 after the first quarter and was able to hold that lead.

For Palestine, Dom Wycoff had 18 points and Weston Jones added 12 points.

GREENFORD–The South Range boys basketball secured a victory over Niles on Saturday, winning by a score of 48-37. South Range outscored Niles 16-8 in the final quarter to pull away with the win.

For South Range, Eli Taylor had 12 points and Luke Crumbacher had 10 points.

For Niles, Kross Naples had 17 points and knocked down four three-pointers.

With the win, Sebring moves to 3-10 on the season.
