East Liverpool rolls over Beavers
CALCUTTA — The East Liverpool bowling teams opened their seasons Monday by sweeping Beaver Local at Tri-State Lanes.
The Beaver Local boys won 2,1990 to 2,058 and the girls won 1,630 to 1,457.
In the boys match, East Liverpool’s Nathan Kelly had a high series of 413 with games of 225 and 188. Paxton Grimes had a 202 game and Anthony DeMarco a 192.
For the Potters, Aiden Pilacarik had a 198 game and 359 series and John Monar a 190 game and 356 series.
Leaders in the girls match were East Liverpool’s Delaney Riggle with a 168 game and Madysin McGaffic a 150. Beaver Local’s Brandi Fisher had a 156 game game and 282 series and Karlee Furman a 130 game and 260 series.
East Liverpool will play Harrison Central today at Valley Lanes in Jewett. Beaver Local will be back at home Monday.
Rebels fall to Liberty
NILES — Liberty swept Crestview in prep bowling action on Monday at McKinley Lanes Bowling Center.
Liberty’s boys won 1,844-1,692. For Crestview, Jamie Hoffer had a 297 series and a 166 high game.
The Leopard girls were 1,703-1,447 winners. Caitlyn Robb had a 241 series for the Rebels, while Addy Bettura had a 146 high game.
