Bulldogs meet Waterloo

ATWATER — Waterloo picked up its second straight win by downing East Palestine 48-8 on Friday. In a dominant effort from the Vikings (2-6), the game was secured for Waterloo early, as the Bulldogs (1-7) trailed 20-0 after the first quarter.

East Palestine was coming off of its first win of the season last week on the road against Ashtabula St. John. The Bulldogs won for the first time this season last week at Ashtabula St. John and looked to ride the momentum into Friday. The Vikings’ running back Cody Stump had other plans.

Waterloo was also coming off of its first win of the season against Windham ahead of Friday’s matchup. Led by Stump’s four rushing touchdowns, Waterloo doubled its win total on the season.

East Palestine is scheduled to host Campbell on Friday, while Waterloo visits Mathews.
